Starters
When you get to choose your starter in Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, you may choose on of the following; Turtwig, Torchic, or Piplup. You may only choose one, so choose wisely!
Turtwig 
: Turtwig is a grass Pokemon.
Turtwig has high attack but low speed. At level 18 Turtwig evolves into Grotle and at level 32 Grotle evolves into Torterra. Torterra is a grass/ground Pokemon.
Chimchar 
: Chimchar is a fire Pokemon.
Chimchar has high speed attack but low defense. At level 14 Chimchar evolves into Monferno at level 36 Monferno evolves into Infernape. Infernape is a fire/fighting Pokemon.
Piplup 
: Piplup is a water Pokemon.
Piplup has high attack but low speed. At level 16 Piplup evolves into Prinplup and at level 36 Prinplup evolves into Empoleon. Empoleon is a water/steel Pokemon.
