Making a Basic Avatar in MS Paint

That's right, this tutorial will show you how to make a decent Pokemon avatar in MS Paint. The image will end up with the dimensions 100x100px.

1. Start off by finding a nice Pokemon card image you want to use. Don't forget to give credit to a site if they request it. :) When found just copy and paste image into MS Paint. Credit to PokeBeach for image used in this tutorial.

NOTE: The image does NOT have to be from a Pokemon card, I just find then easiest to use.

2. Now you can crop, or resize then crop your image(depending on the size). Since my image is fairly big, I'll resize it. To do it, go up to Image>Resize/Skew. Make both percents in Resize the same and under 100 and don't do anything to the Skew section. Now use the select tool to make a 100x100 square and then go to Image>Crop.

3.Then you can make your own border, or find an avatar template on a site and paste it over your image. I'll make a border myself, so I'll zoom in to get a better look at what I am doing. The border may be any colour, but it should compliment the image.

Note: The red in the border will become transparent.

4. Our last, and final step, may not be necessary for some people. This step is to save your image and make parts of it transparent if you want. To do this, go here, load your image, and click transparent. It should be pretty self explanatory. :)
