Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are the first games in the third generation of Pokemon. In the new region of Hoenn is where you begin your adventure. You can start with Treeko, Torchic, or Mudkip. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are the first games where 2 on 2 battling begins, and where you can now participate in Pokemon contests. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are for GBA(Game Boy Advance).
